Camus' words, and literally every single word, sinks in, sooo much. Hits home these days, like no other. I guess people are still unaware that the internet itself is another metaphor for the plague in the 21st century, or AI as well in a broader sense. The line between the normal days and that something wrong that people have to put up with.. that subtle line. Gosh, I am so going to finish this book.

Camus' consistent style of observation-analysis- insight is emotionally lukewarm, not necessarily too cynical nor nihilistic, in my opinion. Trying to keep that one ray of hope alive, the hope that there should somehow be a way out. The drains and agonies, but at the same time that human struggle and the will and the search for meaning.

My whole body ached this morning. I wonder if it has anything to do with being immersed in this book. I still love reading this, though. The pace is slow, nothing really happens, and that void is the very essence of what the plague leaves us with. The book changed my thought, though. All this time, what people didn't want to be infected was this plague. Letting this sink in. Viewpoint from the other side of the room.

The translation is perfect-exquisite. I find myself silently nodding in my mind to the countless journeys of thought by this author. The similarities of what's going through in our times and the ways of back then is simply unbelievable.
