My first Kay Scarpetta book; love that it takes place in Virginia. Though I am mildly confused why the Chief Medical Examiner is all up in the investigative process? Maybe I'm just misled in watching TV dramas & the ME usually just shows up for CoD & drives on so that I'm like girl why you care? It's kind of all over the place so that's been meh. Heard the books are better than the show so hoping to finish to watch.
