after less than 100 pages, I had hunch, and it turns out I was right! (at least, in part.) I absolutely love the way adrienne young foreshadowed this and a lot of other things in this book.this is definitely my favorite book of hers!

Now I had to read until their first meeting in the present, and I can confirm doomed love. My heart already hurts for those two!
I also love how Young weaves brief flashbacks into the present without explaining the context, so that I have to figure out for myself what happened. I much prefer showing over telling in stories—when nothing is explained and you have to form your own picture of the story as you read it.

Wow. I read almost the first hundred pages in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down until they met for the first time! And now I want to keep reading, but I have to go to sleep! But so far, I LOVE it! I’m a sucker for dual timelines, and I absolutely adore reading about their doomed love in the present and their yearning in the past! My first guess: they got married at some point between the two timelines!
