Now she's telling her life story to a man (Elander) she's known for three days and who's tried to harm her multiple times in those three days. And I'm sure this'll make for a romantic moment or some shit but why can't we get actual development instead? Why is it always 'bicker-bicker-a moment of weakness for one of the characters for some external reason-the other character helps out by listening and boom! Romance!'?

I don't understand her thought process... she's distrustful of Elander who tried to help her (albeit he's also the one who got her in the mess) but trusts Varen (kinda), whom she knows for like half a day and that, too, despite knowing his history?? Like umm maybe you should be distrustful of them both?? Idk.
