A luxurious feast indeed . . .
Salted fish roe, fried sausage, braised pigs' feet, stewed shark fin, soft-shelled turtle, sea snail soup, steamed crab over sticky rice, followed by a lush stir-fry of carefully selected vegetables, meat, and seafood. Desserts were almond tofu and something called Eight Treasures Rice, a pudding of sweet glutinous rice, dried fruits, and read bean paste.
