"Girls don't smoke Marlboros."

this book is triggering me in ways that I am either going to love or absolutely loathe with my entire being. at the moment, it's leaning towards the latter. we'll see how it goes though.

taking me awhile to get through this... the writing is beautiful, the pace is painfully slow
