Dare I say Alex Aster’s best work so far… Lightlark was just a continuous decline as the books went on but this one feels like characters have depth. The world is also fascinating and I really enjoy it.

Okay… first three chapters felt like Lightlark but in a different font… felt very carbon copied. BUT, as we are getting into it and discovering the world… I quite like it. It’s becoming better than I expected. Hopefully this has some substance unlike the last couple books of Lightlark….
