Oh no I just started the love section and intro said the most important decision we make in our life is who we marry. Confused bc my family thinks I’m gay so I would not be able to actually get married in Texas or do what this book is saying. Waiting for the author to address queer relationships bc even the gays can be in their 20s

Work:
It’s better to have a job than to be unemployed.
When choosing a job choose the one that will lead you to the most identity capital even if it pays less. Choose the job that means the most for your career. (Not sure what career I want to guess I need another book for that) (never went over what to do when you don’t get the job)

I’m not very far in but I’m listening to the audio book at work and am on the brink of personal crisis just from the introduction. Theres apparently only one path for me and it begins in my 20s and the path is towards a husband, children and a job. But specifically a husband and that my 20s are my prime child bearing years. Waiting for her to address the defining decade for the lgbtq+ but it’s not looking good
