The author asserts in the introduction that "tits up" is "American showbiz slang" used from one female performer to another, or used between drag queens to indicate that it's time to get into character. As an american, i've only heard "tits up" to mean something has gone wrong (apparently more UK-based). What about y'all? What does the phrase "tits up" mean to you? Have you ever heard it used in the "showbiz" way?
