I love the way this is written. V.E. Schwab's prose is great! But the story, to me, is kind of boring. Nothing REALLY happens until this far through the book. I may be too used to action books. But if I wasn't trying to get this off my TBR I probably would have dropped this book. I would be willing to try a different book from V.E. though.

Gallant has a nice gothic atmosphere and when I'm reading it, it usually isn't a chore. But it is a slow moving plot. We're at 50% of the book and Olivia has only gone from the Orphanage to the house and I feel like nothing has really happened? She's unravelling more of the mystery of her mother, the wall, the house, and her cousin. But dang bro. I'm impatient
