Yes Please.

Something about the way John Gwynne writes the little character moments makes me feel like they're all important and are really flushed out people.

Characters have tempers or autism or are stoic and it is really well rounded out.

I do really love his writing.

Using the old Alfred Hitchcock suspense method is rarely a bad choice. Giving the reader information that the characters don't have. Can't wait to see how this unravels.

That was interesting! Alcyon telling a story of a battle in the past! I wonder if they'll tell me what happened to Corban and his sister after all of this.

It just makes me feel good to read.

Oh No! This might have that same trope that John employs in The Faithful and the Fallen series where everyone important manages to get away until they're finally killed off.

I remember Lykos deserving to be killed for a long time and should have been killed at the end of book 3 in the previous series.

BUT I LOVE JOHN GWYNNE and I hope that this chapter was just foreshadowing that Olin used to be a serious warrior!

It's fun, I am sure it's gonna be really good. Because I LOVE John Gwynne's writing and story telling and world building.

Been a few days without reading but I am happy to be back to this book.

Ohhhh it's just so good. I wonder what the twist is going to be, what is the stone that Riv found? Is Sig gonna be awesome? I think so.
