The underground man is one unreliable narrator. He disguises himself as a highly intelligent which in a sense he is and he doesn’t care what others think of him, but he does because I can tell just to maintain some sort of respect be addressed the reader as “gentlemen” so he doesn’t get the reader to actually have negative feelings towards him but go on a tantrum on emotions and xyz.

The Underground Man is an unreliable narrator.
He disguises himself as a highly intelligent person, which, in a sense, he is, and he doesn't care what others think of him. Still, he does it because I can tell that, to maintain some respect, he addresses the reader as "gentlemen," so he doesn't want the reader to have negative feelings towards him, but instead goes on a tantrum about emotions and xyz.
