This is such a slow read but I found chapter eight to be quite interesting.

It’s a slow read. The amount of detail, reference checks, review of earlier text, and keeping up with chiefs and commanders takes time.
This book is expanding my curiosity about tribes, their unique customs, and tribe location. A map might be useful. Also knowing more about tribes and leaders would help me to track this documentary.

The book is getting better. The book takes time and requires study with notes.

So far, this book has been a struggle. Lots of names/people, Indian and white, to try to keep track of. There is a lot of drawn out story, so to speak. Not enough analysis or discussion to keep me engaged.
I entered this book having a pretty good idea of how unfairly the Government and whites treated the Indians. I hope the book will educate me further and the author will at some point interject more discussion.

Lots of tribes, chiefs and warriors to keep track of. Hoping I can walk away with a general picture of events with less importance of dates and names. So far, it feels like this could get overwhelming.
