I really liked Kazamira's story! Finally! When she spoke of innocence of a goat vs the evilness of people, it was quite powerful. Is she the first character in this book I'm going to like? ;)

I was getting interested in Verland's story. Aaaand then we got back to Elle and Gary... They are so bland! And Gary has a dog, Bosie, named after Oscar Wilde's lover, because the dog can check out "rear ends the way his namesake never could". That's supposed to be funny? It isn't. At all.

The conversation between Elle and Gary is pretty cringe-worthy....
And the way the characters are described is, too. Not impressed so far which makes me sad. :(
