Okay unpopular opinion but miscommunication tropes are STRESSFUL, and not in a positive way, in a are-you-two-really-so-stupid, tearing my hair out kind of way.

YESSSand I know if I were in their position I probably wouldn’t get it either (I’m practically blind for that stuff) but seeing it from the outside is SO FRUSTRATING
It’s like seeing a scary movie and yelling don’t go in there!! even though they’re gonna do it anyways

OMG LOUDER, life is already so stressful why do I have to read about other people stress IN MY FREE TIME, or at least give me a free therapy session with the book

Yessss I agree. Very few books with that trope that I’ve read have done it well

I think is actually quite the popular opinion. That trope is SO damn frustrating to read.
miscommunication is just bad writing bc if a plot only goes on and this book have a story bc 2 people are stupid and can’t talk is terrible
its like, the stress of life, just you're reading about anothers life like a spectator like "GIRLLLLLL" (or boy-)
