April done, with a review of Culloden and the Declaration of Arbroath. Am becoming slightly concerned that Graham is right and Sam can no longer remember that Jamie Fraser is a fictional character. The honey and whisky fool (dessert) looks extra good!

This book is right on track, with March checked off and the book a quarter of the way done. This is the point where I confirmed that the *all* the recipes aren't included in the accompanying PDF to the audiobook, so I'll probably end up getting them online somewhere.

February done! I really want to make the shortbread they describe in this chapter, and it's always a good time to tread over the treachery of the Campbells and the blacklisting of the MacGregors.

January was a good start! This book will take me most of the year, as I plan to read each month as it comes along. I'm looking forward to trying out some of the recipes when I get home.
