So I haven’t even returned from my vacation yet, but I popped on to update my currently reading and dnfs. I’ve been thinking this over for some time, and I think I’m going to take a long break from GR. It’s not anything yall did, but I realized how much happier I’ve been since I went on hiatus. I’ve felt less drained, my screen time has gone down about 90% and I’m more creative. (more in comments)

I have other means of logging in books I’ve read and how many books I’ve finished this year. I’m sorry to those who I have planned BR reads with for later in the year. I have no idea how long the break will be, but it’s for sure until I finish up HS this fall (tho I plan on staying off until I finally have my life in order). GR is not a priority for me and it’s so easy to waste a lot of time in here. I’m also not a huge fan of how people use this as such a social media platform when I really feel like it should be more book related and all about reviews and such, and I think that plays a big factor in me taking a break. I don’t want social media yet and this has quickly started to become that for me. My screen time is insane and I hate how attached i’ve become to just mindlessly scrolling on here. I spend more hours on here than I do reading. I’ll miss yall and keep yall in my prayers 🤍
