Ok so we're about to get into a backstory chapter that's probably gonna explain some stuff, but I gotta say that I do NOT like Toshio. When he's chiding his daughter for coming to find him after he made up this plan, he's forgetting the obvious detail of the MONSTERS THAT WOULD MAIM/KILL HER FOR THE CHOICE HE TOOK. Even if she wasn't desperate to find you and your wife, she herself was in serious danger either way
