Gary > Status Update

I'm about halfway through with this book and it's good, but not nearly as good as the first in the series, The Mailman. The plotline is a bit convoluted, but the Mercury Carter character is steady and interesting. You can follow his motivations easily enough, but there are so many characters who dodge in and out of view during the narrative, it's hard to keep track of who they are. However, I still enjoy this book.
