A Touch of Treason will be released on December 24th. Nick Bracco is forced to travel to Sicily to extract an FBI agent in trouble with the wrong people, However, the Sicilian Mafia is waiting for him. All the characters are there with him; Matt, Stevie and of course Tommy is there to mediate between the FBI and the real Mafia. It's one of the favorite stories and I'm excited to release this to my readers.

I'm 250 pages in and feels like I've barely made a dent. McCullough is very detailed oriented. Since there was no other forms of communication back in the 1700s everyone wrote letters. We read every correspondence with Abigail and members of congress. Thanks to these letters we learn every intimate detail of their state of mind. Narrative is dry. I liken this book to eating broccoli. It's good for you, but . . .

I'm only thirty pages in, but this is already a riveting story with plenty of tension and great dialogue. Cosby is a master.

This guy is so good at historical nonfiction. The narrative is excellent. You can actually feel the spray of the waves hitting you in the face. Really good so far.

So like most people here I read a lot of books. And many of them are okay, but not really my cup of tea. I try to avoid posting reviews because I don't want to leave a bad review because I don't like someone's writing style.
However, whenever I finish one of those books, I always turn to Lee Child to get back on track. He never fails to turn out a great book with a great storyline. This one is no different.

The book started out a little slow but now it's picking up and becoming very intriguing. The writing is excellent. Can't wait to see what happens.

I don't normally enjoy books that go back and forth in time, however, Freida does a good job of taking us to a specific date when a specific incident occurred, then fast forward to present day, so it's very relevant and intriguing. So far so good.

Nelson Demille writes like he's sitting at a bar, drinking beer, eating greasy peanuts and telling you the story of his crazy day, including all of his hilarious side-thoughts along the way. After reading 900 pages of Shantaram which by the end was like eating broccoli because I knew it was good for you, this is like eating an endless box of pizza. Really enjoying it.

This story goes on forever, yet the author finds ways to make the narrative interesting. He is very clever with his descriptions of the world he's created in his mind. Very realistic and very poetic all at once. An enjoyable journey.

The writing is incredible. The phrases and metaphors this guy uses are unique and mind-blowing. I don't even know if they make sense, but somehow I understand it fully. What a great display of writing skills.

Did I mention this is a 900 page book? The writing is exquisite. He uses words and phrases which I'm certain have never been thrown together before and if closely examined probably have questionable grammatical sense, but somehow it works. He does go on for paragraphs describing a character's physical features, but again, in his hands it works. For other writers, I wouldn't recommend trying this at home. Intriguing.

This book is very long, but the prose is magnificent. Roberts puts together some phrases that I've never dreamed of and yet they work. Magnificently written. So far nothing dramatic has really happened, but because of the writing I don't care.

An amazing author. She writes like a poet. Every page has something beautifully described. If this book were 800 pages long it would be too short.

So far this is an intriguing story about walkers (Zombies) and the selected team chosen to find the source and fight them off before they contaminate the entire planet. Interesting stuff.

So far Jason Trapp is playing footsy with a female spy and we get both of their points of view, so we know where each one stands. Trapp is still looking for revenge for the killing of his best friend. This one seems like a slow burn and I like it very much.

Gary is on page 98 of 455 of Deep State (Jason Trapp, #1)
This is my first Jason Trapp thriller, but it won't be my last. The writing is tight and the narrative is well done. It's the true description of a thriller. Jason Trapp has some experience within the intelligence community, but so far we haven't been told how much or for how long. It's one of the things I like about this book. It doesn't overexplain things we don't need to know.

A fun trip down memory lane, back when the Mob actually owned the Vegas casinos and Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and Sammy Davis and Joey Bishop were very involved with the wise guys. Also how they turned a dusty cow town into a thriving entertainment extravaganza. Pretty interesting so far.

Gary is on page 75 of 272 of Kill Shot: A Shadow Industry, a Deadly Disease
This is a fascinating ride. It's a thriller which takes you back and forth between an apocalyptic event that took place in 2012 and 2002 when all of these bureaucratic compound pharmacy events blossomed into the nightmare it is today. Can't express how well this is written. A thriller, yet it's a true story. Unreal.

A soldier returns to Santa Domingo to search for a woman who was fighting against him in the Dominican Republic. So far it's intriguing and as usual with Elmore Leonard's work there's a character looking to take advantage of someone. It's a slow pace, but enjoyable so far.
