Okay so Whatsitsname’s purpose is to avenge the people who make up his body. Each time he avenges someone, the body part of theirs falls off. He and his assistants then start gathering more body parts to rebuild him so he can continue his mission of revenge. I think this is an allegory for how revenge can break you apart?

Saadawi is definitely trying to do something with the “gaping wound” as a mouth thing, right?
