He is so dumb It was as though one had available a never-ending number of days, months, years in which to sort out the vagaries of one's relationship with Miss Kenton; an infinite number of further opportunities in which to remedy the effect of this or that misunderstanding. There was surely nothing to indicate at the time that such evidently small incidents would render whole dreams forever irredeemable.

I swore the mc was so annoying and would not feel bad for him but this scene… ugh… these nobility drinking and laughing while the last breath of a servant leaves the earth…

The innkeeper was said to give a look of trepidation when she heard he is from Darlington Hall. Why? Did the old Lord commit war crimes? Is everyone actually dead and the mc is delusional?

All this butler does is talk about butler-ing. When does this good. I have little patience for men’s monologues.
