we really went from 0 to 100 with the bad teacher representation huh
it really does feel like this whole situation with richeh and rili is a way to depict how children with special needs can be mistreated and abused (in all sorts of ways) by the teachers that are called upon to "fix" them. they're subhuman until they submit and then become golden. which fits right alongside the sa. absolutely vile

oh my sweet baby angels, of course they don't understand why anyone would find the utmost comfort in being put out of their misery. they're so innocent and pure of heart, i hope they find ways to keep those qualities alive as they will undoubtedly have to witness more horribly sad and depressing situations. i wonder if we'll get to see olruggio's reaction to the way his spell was used.....i'd be very interested

another absolutely stunning cover!!!! love the contrast again between the bright, fantastical colors on the front and the darker colors on the back
