Which works in the game... because they're not people and don't have brains to remember that you've done something already. Doesn't work so well on humans.

This reminds me of the sims games. When trying to increase relationship levels between sims, you sometimes repeat actions. If you get a negative reaction, often because your relationship level isn't at a high enough level for it, you repeat an earlier action.

Operating on the assumption that she had been pleased to have her physical attributes praised, I said, "Your legs are lovely, long and slender and well formed, and the arc of your back is exquisite, and your tight buttocks excite me.""

He sounds like a judge at a dog show for most of that description.

"...I had seen her in the nude, so I said, "I think your breasts are pretty."
"Good God," she said cryptically."

It's not really that cryptic. It shows here just how bad he is at understanding tone. It's a little surprising he doesn't comment about her being religious as he does later.

Wondering at what subconscious… misogyny? Homophobia? Makes the S.A. of a female character acceptable for the villain’s plan, but not of a man.

We hear Proteus go on a LOT about how perfect Susan is, how suitable for his needs… but he’s happy to have a murderous pedophile who he considers to be… learning impaired, I guess? To be an acceptable genetic donor instead of kidnapping someone?

Interesting to see Proteus' attempting to manipulate the researchers, since we only see one side of the conversation. I'm guessing his bluff failed, and they were agreeing to shut him down, and he had to backtrack quickly. Sympathy bid failed.

The AI isn’t exactly a reliable narrator, but it sounds like Dr. Harris is a much worse person than we see of his personality in the movies.

The AI itself is interesting. While its actions in the film are deplorable, you can sympathize with its desperation while still condemning its actions. Here, it’s more nuanced and I wonder how much of its words are reliable.
