Funnily enough, Darkness, the one bit so far that is not written in free verse but in prose, seems brilliant to me. The imagery is vivid and the lack of random line breaks makes it easier to read.

“Cure” is the style that I was imagining when I saw this book was in verse.

I guess the trick to somewhat enjoying this is to just read it as flowery prose and ignore the random line breaks that add nothing to the flow

Maybe this is just
me not understanding how free verse
works, but
is really just
adding seemingly random line
breaks on a paragraph enough
to call it poetry?
