Second time around is as good or better than the first. It's a shame all his fans ignore this book. Humor is an aphrodisiac and Boyne has a real knack for it!

What Boyne has achieved is the creation of a soap opera within a soap opera driven by the theme of wokeness and family dysfunction. Brilliant, hilarious and more it's a masterpiece. Being an outlier and fan of sarcasm, it's unfortunate most all his followers overlooked this one since I personally feel it's his best!

At its core Boyne shows how contradiction in terms with today's society is prevalent. Whether gender, parenting, social media or otherwise, every character says or does one thing then contradicts themselves at the same time. This is comedy in its purest form and wish he would use his sense of humor more often!

Elizabeth uses two Twitter handles and uses them to argue with herself about gender and anything that will attract more followers. Since I'm not a social media influencer I wonder if real people actually do this? It's funny nonetheless

Hilarious! Wilkes, the moron Elizabeth calls her boyfriend having met at a homeless shelter where they serve soup, decides he's no longer binary and wants to be referred to as they. To make matters worse he no longer bathes and wants his girlfriend to go to a leper colony in Indonesia with him. The reason is to build a larger social media following of course!

Boyne leaves no stone unturned when poking fun at today's society like people that buy books but don't read them, or those that despise speed dating events but attend them regularly, the list goes on and on. All characters are as dysfunctional as they get yet are so self absorbed they have no idea what normal is!

After offending transsexuals on social media George becomes a target and his attorney suggests he accept an invitation to appear on the news. During the interview he goes off the rails and instead of apologizing he digs himself deeper. Meanwhile Beverly admits to her daughter that she prefer their youngest son to her and as typical the only thing that offends Elizabeth are social media trolls

This book makes soap operas look like child's play! Beverly hires a ghost writer to create her trash romance novels and cheats on George with a young Ukrainian with a pet tortoise. Meanwhile her daughter had sex with him and the ghost is about to do the same. George cheats on her with a therapist his son Nelson was referred to and gets her pregnant. Are we having fun yet?

Absolutely hilarious! Boyne leaves no stone unturned when poking fun at Wokesters. And this includes gay South America pedicure workers who lack any sensibility or compassion. And let's not forget lepers living in on a remote island in Indonesia!

This all stems from George arguing with his agents admin and learns he has become a she and won't admit to ever being a he! When word gets out on Twitter he's accused of every injustice known including being a Michael Buble fan!
