Go home and Chu Wanning insists on punishment. He is badly hurt, but still tries to help by cooking and cleaning (he is bad at it).
Mo Ran's uncle returns. Mo Ran interrupts Chu Wanning's healing session and tends to him. Sleepy kiss.

Butterfly town case is solved. I really liked it. Learning a lot about Chu Wanning, and his relationship to Mo Ran. He is ashamed of his feelings, and thinks himself a beast. He pushes people away. But he kept the wedding hair pouch.

Honestly quite goofy so far - the tone is quite light and humorous? I think the author was trying to justify Mo Ran's behaviour to Rong Jiu, but I don't feel sorry for him at all and think he deserved his punishment. Mo Ran is pretty dumb, but kinda cute? I was expecting a villain, but I feel like we're heading toward 'imperfect victim' angle? Will something worse come?

Mo Ran has assaulted/robbed a brothel worker, and watched a fake pixiu performance. I can see that the author is trying very hard to be risqué/edgy. I wonder how the MC will redeem himself.

It's trying very hard to be cool and 'edgy', but I am interested in the premise of the story.
