“This isn't over," I growled as the Heirs gathered around me in a circle. I looked between them, finding resilience in their eyes, their nods promising me they would fight for her too. I met Darius's dark-ringed gaze last and his head dipped caught his chin, yanking it up so he looked me in the eye.
"You don't give up on her.”
"Never." he vowed with a dark growl that promised blood-shed.❤️‍🔥

My feet hit the ground and Darius yanked me into his chest his arms crushing me in a fierce embrace as we landed beyond the fence ringing campus. And I finally gave in, falling apart in
his arms.

"The world means nothing to me without her," I spat at him, my gaze slipping to Roxy where she watched me from the table, her wide eyes flashing with fear for me.

A hand fell on my shoulder and I turned to find Seth there, his lips parted in shock, his throat smeared with blood, but somehow healed at last. I threw myself into his arms as relief crashed
through me at finding him alive.
"I'm so glad you're okay," I said breathlessly and he nuzzled into my head.
"You too," he whispered against my cheek as more tears escaped me.

A horrible whine parted Seth's lips as he reached up to brush his bloody fingers across my cheek. "Together," he mouthed but didn't know what he meant by that as tears rushed down my face.
his hand falling back to the ground with a finality that hurt me.

Caleb slumped to his knees. His eves locked onto Seth on the ground and his face became stricken with terror as he shot forward to join us.
MY BABIES 😭

Before my power could escape my body, Caleb leapt onto the Nymph's back, biting straight into its bark-like throat and tearing at it with a barbarity that had my heart pounding.
The Nymph stumbled away from me with a wild shriek as Caleb ripped its throat out like an animal.

Caleb hit the ground in front of me, pale and
shaken and his eyes drilled into mine for two endless heartbeats.

A huge, rough hand suddenly latched around me from behind as I was thrown towards Caleb.
"Stop." Clara snarled at Caleb. "Or the Wolf is dead. Terror took hold of me and I saw my death shining way too clearly in front of my eyes. Cal snarled, looking to me with his fangs bared and fear in his gaze.
"Stab her, Call" I demanded, but he tossed the spear aside, stepping back with his gaze fixed firmly on me.

Darius was savage, brutal, vicious, broken and mine. And in that moment, I had no desire for the darkness in him to ever let up. I wanted him. Every damaged, depraved, dirty piece of his soul was made to fit with all the twisted, ruined parts of my own. And if the stars didn't like it then I'd happily climb up into the sky and tear them all down for him.

“Yes” Roxy breathed, her voice shaky like she was afraid of saying it out loud. "I can't keep denying it anymore. I'm sick of denying what my heart wants.”
“Forever?" I confirmed, moving so close to her that the sweet scent of her skin enveloped me and I never wanted to exhale again.
“Forever," she agreed, with a finality that weighed on us so heavily that for a moment I couldn't breathe.

that happen.”😭
