TYPES OF CONFLICT: Lauren's conflict is character vs. self. Although throughout the insight into her family's history there are family conflicts, Lauren struggles with herself. As she matures, the ability to turn back time is hard. She undoes what she has done with Scott because she loves Leo. Then, when her father gets sick and she knows she used it, she regrets using it and thinks she is selfish. She hates herself.

MAKING CONNECTIONS: I relate to Lauren. She is very afraid to use her ticket to undo the past. I can never decide when my decision will be right and I panic. We are both undecisive because we don't know how the choices we make now may affect us later. It's scary to know you may never be able to go back in time and change a big decision. Lauren is unsure to make the decision to undo her affair with Scott. I can agree.

GENRE: The genre is fantasy and also romance. It is a fantasy because the family is described to have the power to undo one mistake. I think that it is also romance because Lauren is married and we learn complications with it. She also faintly mentions her old lover, Scott, who comes over for dinner. There is still romance between her and her husband she mentions, but she also still has small feelings for Scott.

POV: Throughout chapters, the narrator switches between 3rd person and the main character, Lauren. The 3rd person mostly describes Lauren's family past. They use 3rd person pronouns. They just say Lauren's name when talking about her. However, from Lauren's point of view, she describes what she knows about her family and fiance. She doesn't know everything that the 3rd person tells. She uses 1st person pronouns.
