as i near the end of this book, it’s been full on twisted sense of humor - the irony of this book was delicious. Mateo traded in his life of poverty and pity for a life of luxury and neglect . while yes, he’s better fed and cared for there’s still this emptiness from the lack of a parental figure and love in his life, even when he becomes the new lord this loneliness does not go away . he’s still pitied .

while i wish we got to learn more of Agata and Ina, i was hoping for more of female lead for this book but im still very satisfied with what was delivered . Agata suffering from a constantly cycle of abuse and captivity but she interested me. Marek still is as lost as he was when he killed Jacob, feeling he has no real role or place in this world even after his promotion to Lord - Jude lost everything and then gained a new home and different status while still being the anger controlling man he was, he would rather pretend Agata is dead then acknowledge that she was never his to begin with, Jude is still as sick and twisted as he was when we first met him

oh the irony of this book !!!!! the simple yet affective humor ! oh i love this book . while it can be very dark and down right insane it hasn’t disappointed me . the characters and how their story unfolds and lays out all in once piece in the end is beautiful . the irony of his marriage to Agata being a distorted version of his marriage with Dibra is delightful, jolly good show !
