I'm calling it here. I expected one cat death and have already read about 3, plus an unfortunate massacre of kittens. I can't handle this emotionally at all :-/

I am trying to prepare myself for the ugly cry that I know will be coming with this book. As much as I love books, and cats, I tend to shy away from reading books *about* cats because I can't stand the endings, where the cats cross the rainbow bridge. But I'm going to try to get over this reticence - wish me luck!
