Very good book! Darren actually seems to be having fun with Mr. Crepsley and being away from his family. Darren has made friends like Evra. I think Darren is enjoying himself because he feels like he has more freedom now that he doesn't have his parents watching over him. There are also some dangerous things Darren will have to do in order to proove to Crepsley that he is worthy of being a half-Vampire.

I knew Darren was going to get hurt some how, I can't believe he actually thought he was going to be able to not get caught stealing a vampire's pet giant spider. The worst part is that know that he's blooded he can never see his family again and must saty with Mr. Crepsley for the rest of his long Vampire life. Darren has a lot of potential to being a very strong vampire and I believe in him.

I have a bad feeling about Darren going back to the cirque and stealing Ms. Octa from Mr. Crepsley because Darren knows that Crepsley is a vampire and shoudn't be messing with him, he might kidnapp Darren. Darren isn't being very smart right now and is not thinking.
