Seriously at this rate it's going to take me till Christmas to read this, just re-upping it from the library for the next 6 months or so. It's great, it's just... I have to think... about every single sentence as I read it! It's so thinky!! And my brain no good thinky right now! I love being in the mind of an artist. We've just met the love interest. I'll be back to update another 7% in another week or so...

It's depressing how long it took me to get through 1 chapter. I am notoriously bad at reading long chapters, just mentally. The whole book is only 16 chapters. Each one is going to be a saga. He's gotten a bit long-winded since last I read him. I still absolutely love his writing though, and I'm enjoying following Wyeth around so far. So far it's just slice-of-life for your average black, gay starving artist! Nbd!
