So conflicted on this book, there was a version of me who would've loved it to death as a tale of resilience, and by its similarity to my parent's journey. Present me though? All I was seeing was class struggle, and every couple of chapters I was catching myself fact checking stuff which made me resent the dad's and in turn the author's implied view on several subjects 🥲
