No, no, no!! “My mother’s sewing needles as she knitted” ????? Those are two very different things, does anyone do the bare minimum of research in knitting before including it in their book? It’s not that hard to look up whether or not crochet and knitting are interchangeable terms (they aren’t) and what knitting needles look like and are called. SMH huger pet peeve of mine as a knitter

😦😦😦 Honestly it’s really funny while at the same time sad how dysfunctional their marriage is, but completely unsurprising

Previously it was crochet. Is this just the author trying to illustrate Natalie didn’t really notice what her mother was doing or do they really not know the difference? As a knitter (and crocheter) I always wonder this whenever I come across fiber arts mentions in books

This quote: “I was brought into this world w/ the explicit purpose of eventually bringing other lives into this world, like a never-ending baton pass, an infinite replay of God’s glory.” How fucked up is it that this is what patriarchy & religion have reduced women & their lives to?
