Rereading this novel (which I apparently wasn’t too crazy about the first time!) for this month’s discussion in The Ungovernables historical romance book club. Maybe I’ll appreciate it more this time around - and after reading and liking Beast by Judith Ivory, which inspired Sherry Thomas’s novel.

Sherry Thomas is good at creating hate-to-love romances where there's such bitterness and resentment by the hero and/or heroine toward the other at the beginning. The setup of this story is interesting - can't wait to see how it turns out.
