Concentrated on this book over the weekend because I’m struggling to like it. Which I hate…because I loved Pillars of the Earth.

Could do I with fewer sex scenes. I’m not a prude by any stretch of the imagination, but this is supposed to be a historical fiction and most of the scenes are just not necessary to the story telling. They add no value.

Love how Follett deliberately keeps the language simple. The people…characters…live in the time before Stonehenge was established. Simple people. Care given to the language used.
