Pornographia. Fascinating but oddly dark. Where will this story go with such normal yet not at all normal folks? There is sensuality, fear, distrust, & some variation of passion in this twisted tale. Throughout the novel, despite having an abundance of internal dialogue, we are left trying to discern who these people are. In fact, we're not sure they know. Only in the end do events put some definition on them.

Finished Ferdydurke. Now that was a trip! Gombrowicz takes us on a winding journey. The destination plays no role in the story. It's all about the narrator's cognitive adjustments as he travels about through different characters and settings. It is the social and psychological dimensions of who and what we meet along the way that makes the journey worthwhile. On to Pornografia.
