I might be on my way to DNFing. I don’t mind insta-love, but I really don’t care for narratives where both characters are completely into each other with no friction from the get go. Kinda takes the fun out of a romance for me when that happens. I also kinda think this author, as much as I love them, struggles to think of how to have people gradually fall for each other over time.
