I really struggle with how often so many romance books fall in the third act. Seriously, I get to the third act and look how many books sit around 70% in my Goodreads log? They sit there and then I start another book. Then I do a clean sweep to finish the last bit.

Also, Wuthering Heights is NOT a romance and you cannot convince me.

I like this but I also think the FL is annoying. Girl, you need a therapist.

What’s the deal with this prom subplot? She’s a teacher. She can drink punch at the prom with Martin.

Also, not saying the author needs to live the character’s trauma. But, painting Rose’s trauma as someone who thrifted her clothes, was on EBT, and GASP, lived in a trailer park just totally missed the mark for me.
