This is it, chaps, this is IT. 2026 is the year I finally make it through Middlemarch. You know how? GARDENING. Stick it in my ears while I'll pulling out weeds. Repeat for 30+ hours. LET'S GOOOO.

Good work. I too have started it a couple of times and never found a way through to the end

Well I highly recommend listening to Juliet Stevenson read it while you are doing some repetitive task like weeding! Really makes the pages sail past. Also I stopped caring if I miss some of the fine detail about everyone's political/financial dealings as I'm going along, which has really helped, haha.
