I want Christopher Ruocchio to delve into the interpersonal relations a bit more. Male authors. He needs to show his feelings more. It's great though. But also.... I miss the part when he was a gladiator (or whatever the fodder side is called). I got one battle which was great! But I feel like Ruocchio could have given me one more. :( I wanted more. Him as a political captive is kinda ... meh.

Christopher Ruocchio foreshadows a little too much. In my opinion. Also, there are some parts where I want him to slow down and delve more into that he just sort of... glosses over. Which may be on purpose because these are his younger years where, technically, he remembers less. I think. Maybe. But he should have more friendships with people. You can tell it's written by a guy.

I kind of hate reading about his 'birth'. I mean people of character need to have a difficult childhood, but that doesn't make it easy to witness. So well written though. Love reading. When I don't hate reading.
