It’s genuinely getting better, I just have such a hard time with old timey dialect and that’s not the authors fault. I be rereading paragraphs ten times till I understand what Rachel trying to put down all the while looking like this : 🤔

I feel dumb but I think the story is good and so is the retelling aspect. Some of it feels over detailed but perhaps that is the writing style the author wanted to portray here. I’m giving it time and myself grace in my interpretations 🥹
