At the beginning of Chapter 20, "Ensemble," the last chapter.

Moving along Chapter 19, the first of the two "Ensemble" chapters.

Interestingly enough, the last two chapters have the same name, "Ensemble." In other words, both Chapters 19 and 20 are named "Ensemble." I find this very intriguing.

At the beginning of Chapter 18, "Iris (2010)."

I have a feeling I shall finish reading this book within the next five days. Maybe less than that.

At the beginning of Chapter 17, "Fuchsia (1870)."

I really look forward to seeing what else happened with Hazel, the spirit known as Fuchsia, and the enslaver's wife. Yes, I'm really hoping for some sweet revenge, although that may come later.

At the beginning of Chapter 16, a "Lincoln" Chapter.

Also, there was quite an interesting development in Chapter 14, an "Xavier" Chapter, and we saw more of Hazel's enslaved life, via Chapter 15, a "Fucshia" Chapter, from 1863. Mrs. Whitby better watch her step!

Reading Chapter 13, "Iris (1987)" was so thrilling for me. Iris went to a botanica and met Bastien, who I feel is a Santero, and not only did he believe Iris, he refrained from judging her, as well as her otherworldly experiences. He also gave her something which could help her. It was truly affirming, and so enjoyable to read.

At the beginning of Chapter 13, "Iris (1987).

I love how the beginning of this chapter shows Iris visiting a botanica, one named after the Twin Sister of the Goddess Yemaya, Olokun. Fun fact: Olokun Is sometimes depicted as a God, as in male Deity. However, I tend to think of Olokun as a Goddess, especially as another African Goddess connected to Yemaya, Isis, also has a Twin Sister, Nephthys.

At the beginning of Chapter 12, a "Lincoln" Chapter.

The mystical and magical realism passages are increasing, and I am so happy about that!!

Xavier truly enjoyed his conversation with Iris, especially regarding her life with Tamar, as well as Tamar's childhood.

I have a feeling I have approached the beginning of a massive plot twist, one that is rich with the Mystical.
