getting pretentious vibes, idk, this book has been a slog at times. random chapters with a pov animal "oh boy this is what this animal would say if it could talk!" cringe, and then so much repetition without going anywhere. this recent chapter is just "wow i'm at the zoo, i see abcdefg animals and plants, wow the glass is broken, the MoFo Who Opens Doors, blah blah" repeated over and over. where's this jawn going, -5

Swearing is added very liberally, and the humor just doesn't land. Eyeroll moments. Too much talking about poo and getting too into animal stereotypes. Pretending cats are snobby and self-centered is not humor, it just shows you never had a pet cat that you actually tried to get along with. smh. It starts to be more reasonable as the story goes on, though so far it isn't a terribly exciting adventure.
