I tried my best to pretend unkind words were actually just erroneously expressed compliments, as it just made everything nicer for everybody.

I already hate her clearly controlling, psychologically manipulative and abusive parents and want her to tell them to burn in hell but I'm sure she won't until maybe the end of the book
