Had a mental and physical break down when it dawned on me that the fatigue and body aches with severe mental crash out I had is: "burnout." Being a first responder is rough. Not because of the things we see, but because of all the bullshit we also have to deal with when we've been running for 22+ hours straight with no sleep. It's taken a toll of my mental health and motivation to clean or read.
Feeling better today!

Sol Burnout is so painful. I hope that you're resting and recharging as best you can!! Thank you so much for all the hard work that you do as a first responder. You're truly wonderful. Take care!! :(

Thank you! I luckily found a different job and am in the process if switching. I'm going PRN for my current job as a first responder. I need a break from it. My bosses are such ass holes. They almost didn't approve me because I "appear burnt out" yet they don't think I'm fit for PRN. Tf does that even mean when I'm literally needing a damn break!
They said, "I can't think of anything good to say of this employee" when I've literally been busting my ass. They said a bunch of bullshit and call me difficult for not wanting to take a call that will take me an hour to get there and an hour back after I've been working 20 hours with no sleep... They don't care if I'm exhausted and shouldn't drive because to them, it's all about money.
Anyway... I'm taking care of myself by getting tf out of that place full time. Thank God!

Thank you so much dear. 💖 It's really become too much. But I'm leaving that job full time. The patients aren't terrible and I love helping people, it's the people I work for that are such a huge problem.
