The art is amazing, and while people will (very fairly) point out Ōtomo's skill in illustrating architecture and cityscapes, the rest of his designs deserve praise as well. Gritty and textured without feeling like its trying too hard to be so, and the honesty with which he portrays large cities, not as metropolitan havens but as often decaying and full of civil unrest, is noteworthy.
