Less than 200 pages left. Yhey, can't wait to finish this book because I don't like it anymore, to be honest.

I need to stop reading books written by old men that just want to tell you how the word and life work.

The discussion on the reason for laughing, I kind of liked it. It was interesting.

When I say that it is so obvious that a man wrote this book I mean it, like why would someone write women horny for a random man and act so useless, apart from having sex with male characters or serving him in any way he wants. Females are written so petite, needy of help and begging for the male gaze. This makes the book so hard to read for me. So yeah, pretty shitty for now. Thanks for nothing, Robert.

A good thing is that it is obviously a book written in the 60's, both in good and in bad ways. The female characters are so discussing in a male-wenting way. They are extremely objectified and mistreated. I don't know if this was done by the author on purpose to highlight how shitty society was in the 60's in America, but I doubt so.

If someone recommends you this book as sci-fi, they are an idiot. This book is basically social critique and reflections by the author. Like 80% Philosofical and critiques according to the author and 20% actual story with characters (sort of, because Jubal is basically the author alias) and sci-fi topics. Which is fine if the book wasn't sold like a sci-fi.

This book is really good, at least the idea, the problem for me, a part from the leght, is that the book is full of misogenistic and hate comments towards Islam. Especially on the misogenistic side of this book there is a lot to talk about. I understand that this book was written in the 60's, but still is very unsettling. There are explicit misogenistic comments, and the character are so obviously written by a man.
