This book is so sad 😭 Coming of age books always do this to me 😩 Poor Bailey and poor Carmen 😩😩 I think Lena is stressing way too much over the whole Kostos situation. Like nothing bad really even happened to him abd I think she’s definitely made it clear shes sorry. No need to give him your best painting…

I CAN’T BELIEVE HIM!!! Wdym he hasn’t even realized Carmen is upset. ANYONE COULD SEE THAT! This man does not know her one bit. He’s made her come all this way to see him, yet refuses to welcome OR EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE HER. I’m glad Carmen threw that rock. He certainly deserves it. I am a bittt worried about what the repercussions will be for Carmen though…

I wonder what the real reason behind Kostos actions is. I feel so bad for Carmen. Her dad just thrust this huge huge change on her an and he doesn’t even check in to see how she’s handling it! Just because you’re the “father” doesn’t mean you get to shrink away from the more emotional parts of parenting. Why does he expect Lydia to fill that role?! Carmen DOESN’T LIKE HER. She’s a stranger!

I love to see a healthy group of friends where you can really see how much they care for each other 🥹 Their letters are written with such kindness and just the whole sisterhood thing agh 😩 I haven’t read any books that capture the way I feel about my friends but this comes pretty close. No jealousy, no insecurity and no pettiness. This is what all the other fmcs (belly cough cough) are missing

Im really loving Lena’s whole Greece adventure. I have a lot of hope for her and Kostos 🤞Bridget’s story is so cool too. I’ve always wondered what if woukd be like to be a girl like that. Carmen’s life seems really awful. The dichotomy between Tibby’s “rebel” attitude and her softheartedness is so interesting to see.
